Shine will be delivered within schools by influential young adults, including key players from the Geelong Supercats and The Geelong Football Club who have the ability ad skills to start shaping, inspiring and transforming these young people to reach their potential.

Shine will assist young people in goal setting, planning, achievement, direction, conflict resolution, communication, leadership, problem solving, stress management, positive self concept and esteem and self expression.

How?

The idea to run a program between the Jobs Pathway Programme  (JPP) and CREATE ( Geelong ) Incorporated in conjunction with members of the sporting community was developed and a pilot project was created for 2001.

This very successful pilot which was funded by the Jobs Pathway Programme was delivered by CREATE (Geelong) Incorporated to a number of schools in the region who requested that the pilot be developed into a program for all schools to have access to in the future.

Shine is a program which was developed and is now facilitated and delivered by Mark Gellie. Mark, along with his team of motivating professional sports companions are at the forefront of this successful initiative.
